🚗 About the Role

As our Territory Sales / Service Technician for the Hawke’s Bay region, you’ll be the friendly face of CAC out on the road — building trusted customer relationships, offering expert advice, and providing top-quality service.

This role blends technical service work, sales, and customer support, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety,meaningful customer interaction, and doesn’t quite want to hang up the tools yet.

You’ll work closely with our Technical Manager, Service Team, and Sales Team, and you’ll play a key part in driving growth while ensuring our customers receive the best solutions and support.

💼 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Visiting customers onsite to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities
  • Promoting and selling our full range of products, services, and maintenance plans
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets within your territory
  • Designing technical solutions to meet customer needs
  • Performing service and maintenance tasks across the region
  • Preparing quotes, proposals, reports, and call plans
  • Keeping customer and service databases accurate and up to date
  • Collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and advice
  • Representing the customer voice within the business
  • Participating in on-call duties and maintaining your regional equipment/vehicle

🤝 Who We’re Looking For

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have 3+ years of sales experience
  • Bring experience in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering
  • Are confident interacting with customers and building long-term relationships
  • Have strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
  • Are proactive, calm under pressure, and committed to high-quality work
  • Enjoy solving problems and taking ownership of outcomes
  • Hold a full NZ driver licence with no endorsements

Experience in pneumatic or compressor industries, trade qualifications, or technical training are all big bonuses — but not essential.
