September 17, 2019:
Compressed Air Controls can service it all- including waste water plants- better than the competitors can
After being impressed with Compressed Air Controls fixing some problems our competitors couldn't, the Rangitikei District Council trusted us with taking over all of their service work for their Water Treatment Plants and Waste Water Treatment Plants in their care.
"The existing compressors needed to be brought up to specification, they were breaking down, leaking and were not fit for purpose," Steve Carran, CAC technical sales engineer said.
He could see from the service stickers that the compressors and blowers had not been serviced regularly and the council said they had to chase the previous contractor to get it done.
With CAC they now have a preventative maintenance schedule for all sites and service reminder letters are sent out automatically from our own custom database when a compressor/blower/filter service is due.
The Rangitikei District Council Special Project manager contacted Steve directly to look at a project to supply and install a new compressor plant room to run a newly installed digestor.
After performing a site inspection and checking the engineering consultant's specification, he suggested that upgrading the whole Feilding Waste Water Treatment Plant would be a better option.
"The site had multiple compressors, which were old and not up to specification, dotted all over the plant, doing various jobs and not all were in ideal locations."
Steve's quoted solution was to install a new plant room with two ELGi EN5 Screw Compressors, custom PLC controller, Refrigerant Dryer, Condensate Treatment unit, Compressed Air Receiver, ISO inline filtration as well as a full-plant airline upgrade.
"The PLC controller can control the equipment for unmanned redundancy, change the compressors running hours using Lead/Lag and supply retime status feedback via their existing SCADA system."
"We installed two compressors so there is 100% redundancy; if one compressor stops or there is a high demand the other compressor will automatically turn on and keep the plant running to specification."
He said the council were very happy to have our ELGi Screw Compressors and equipment installed as they trusted Compressed Air Controls' reputation and previous work.
The council were also impressed by the turn around in quoting it - within one week Steve was able to conduct the site consultation, design the equipment to meet the specifications, do the costings and project management - the whole project was done on time and on budget.
If you have a project of your own we would be happy to arrange a free consultation.
